Simon & Hower, Inc. began as Simon Company in 1992, and since then, has been providing real estate appraisal services to the Central Valley. The founder, Timothy “Tim” Simon, MAI, was born and raised in Hanford, California. He started with the intent to provide high quality appraisals to his hometown. In the last 25 years, the company has prepared real estate valuations for local governments, banks, health care providers, attorneys, estates, and many more clients. In 2017, the California State Controller’s Office appointed Tim as the Probate Referee for Kings and Tulare Counites. Subsequently, in 2018, Simon Company became Simon & Hower, Inc. when Jacob Hower, MAI, took the lead in the business. Although Tim is no longer part of the company, he continues to be a knowledgeable resource.
Simon and Hower, Inc. is now comprised of three full-time appraisers: Jacob Hower, MAI, Jeremy Hanson, and Mark Myers. Collectively, the firm offers over 25 years of appraisal experience. Christine Shepheard manages the office and handles daily operations. As a firm, we believe understanding your market is critical to providing competent valuation services, which is why we live where we work. Our primary service areas include, Kings County, Tulare County, Fresno County and Kern County. Our extended services span throughout the Central Valley.
